Maintain a Healthy
Course
The soil supporting today's average
golf course green is lacking sufficient microbial activity to promote healthy
turf growth. This is due primarily to an over reliance on pesticides to control
disease and insect infestation. These synthetic chemicals also destroy
non-target organisms, namely the essential bacteria and fungi found in healthy
soil.
Treat Your
Soil
Beneficial micro-organisms are
necessary to promote healthy, vigorous plant growth. When microbial populations
are depleted the turf system becomes stressed giving rise to a myriad of
problems. In response to this problem, two microbial products, Trich M, were developed.
These proprietary microbial
inoculates were formulated to increase the active biomass in soil. Trich M also
provides a support system for its microbes to help ensure their survival in
harsh soil conditions. This system includes natural plant extracts and
vitamins, which provide the essential nutrients necessary to promote and
sustain healthy microbial populations in the soil.
Trich M with its 47 strains of
beneficial soil microbes and natural plant extracts provides the turf system
with:
- The necessary components to
promote healthy plant growth
- Increase nutrient
availability
- Facilitate nutrient
absorption
- Promote root growth and formation
- While reducing the likelihood of
turf disease
Trich M contains an additional 2
strains of beneficial soil fungi (Trichoderma) to enhance disease
suppression.
Disease suppression is achieved
through a process known as competitive exclusion. The beneficial microbes
contained in P.G.A. and P.G.A. Plus preemptively consume the food source for
such pathogenic fungi as fusarium, rhizactonia, pythium and phytopthora. Many
of the microbes also have the capacity to produce antibiotics, which inhibit
protein synthesis in pathogenic fungi resulting in their expiration
Stress
Defence
In golf maintenance, stress is
caused by many factors of which most are unavoidable. When the heat of summer
is finally over, many superintendents breathe a sigh of relief.
Marine Gro is a powerful combination of fish and kelp,
which can help in your arsenal of stress defense. It is natural and loaded with
what your greens and tees need to fend off stress. A healthy plant is less
likely to succumb to many stress factors including disease, pests, heat, mowing
height or rolling.
Advantages:
- Efficient utilization of NPK
fertilizers
- Environmentally
friendly
- Effective under a wide range of
conditions
- Promotes a healthy substem for
turf
- Slow release growth
- No surges
- Contains a broad spectrum of
nutrients
- Reduces stress and enhances root
growth
Specific
Applications Golf course greens and tees:
- Apply 6 ounces
per 1,000 square ft. monthly preferably split into weekly or bi-weekly
applications.
- On sand based
greens: weekly or bi-weekly applications are important.
- Fairways: Use 3
oz. per 1,000 square ft. or one gallon per acre on a monthly basis increasing
dosage when turf is under stress.
- New seedings:
Apply 3-6 oz. per 1000 square ft. when germination begins then continue on
regular program.
- Lawn care: Use
one gallon per acre 2-4 times a year.
Pest
Management - Neem + Natural Insecticidal
A new natural insecticidal soap for
professional turf, landscape, horticultural, agricultural, home and garden use.
An EPA registered natural alternative to toxic chemical insecticides Highly
effective on a wide range of soft bodied insect pests.
Made from extracts of Indian Neem
Tree, seed oil Works as a contact and as a repellent. K+Neem Insecticidal soaps
are an environmentally sound delivery system for compounds with insecticidal
properties.
The spray solution allows for more
efficient contact with insects, their eggs, larvae, and pupae, and the plant
itself. As a contact, it biodegrades the exoskeleton of the insect and causes
disruption of sensory and physiological functions, leading to
expiration.
As a repellent for foliage feeders
K+Neem Insecticidal Soap® repels the insect by making plants unpalatable.
These multiple modes of action help make K+Neem Insecticidal Soap® not only
safer than toxic chemicals, but more effective for controlling a wide range of
pests |
