Fifty mg of Organica's WWT was placed in four 500 ml flasks containing 10 ml of water. These four flasks were then placed on a shaker set @ 300 RPM and aerated for 6 hours. After three hours 200 ml of liquid wastewater was added to the four flasks. Four other control flasks were set up each again containing 200 ml of liquid wastewater. All 8 flasks (4 with product) (4 controls) were then placed on the rotary shaker set @ 300 RPM and incubated for the various times indicated on charts below. During the incubation process the temperature was maintained @ 90 degrees F and the pH was checked @ each hourly interval. The DO Level was determined to be above 6 ppm throughout the entire experiment.
The flasks were removed from the shakers @ the various times indicated and the entire contents were filtered through Whartman # 4 filter paper. The paper was placed in a small crucible that was perforated @ the bottom. The crucible was placed in a special holder inserted in the top of a suction flask connected to a vacuum pump. After treatment the entire contents of each flask was filtered and dried using this system. Only the zero hour sample was filtered and dried prior to treatment.
In order to recover all of the solids remaining in each flask, additional water was used to wash the solids into the crucible. When the 200 ml of liquid wastewater was added to each flask @ the start of the experiment the solids were washed into the flasks utilizing the top liquid in each flask.

The flasks containing Organica's Wastewater Treatment product showed a significant reduction in solids as compared to the control flasks. After 48 hours the solids in the control flasks were reduced by 16.7 % this was due to the stimulation of the indigenous microorganisms contained in the wastewater. After 48 hours the solids in the flasks containing Organica's Wastewater Treatment Product were reduced by 45.8 %. The increase in the reduction of the solids was due to the select aerobic and facultative microorganisms contained in Organica's formulation. They expedited the biodegradation process and increased efficiencies within the system. Organica's Wastewater Treatment product will also reduce BOD, COD, TSS levels and help reduce the foul odors normally associated with the wastewater treatment process. Additionally Organica's formula has an affinity for biodegrading difficult substances such as phenols, chlorinated hydrocarbons and proteinaceous wastes at accelerated rates.
